Zesty-Toum Power Bowl

  • Ingredients

    • 1 cup cooked brown rice or quinoa
    • 2 cups mixed greens (spinach, kale, or arugula)

      Toppings:
    • 1 cup grilled chicken or roasted tofu, diced
    • 1 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
    • 1 avocado, sliced
    • 1/2 cup corn (fresh or canned)
    • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
    • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
    • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

    Dressing:

    • 1/4 cup Tal's Toum Jalapeno Cilantro
    • 2 tablespoons lime juice
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Water, as needed for thinning
  • Methods

    1. Cook brown rice or quinoa according to package instructions. Allow to cool slightly before assembling your bowl.
    2. Grill the Chicken or Tofu:
      Season the chicken or tofu with salt, pepper, and any preferred spices. Grill until fully cooked and diced into bite-sized pieces. Alternatively, you can roast the protein in the oven.
    3. Make the Dressing:
      In a small bowl, whisk together Tal's Toum Jalapeno Cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. If a thinner consistency is desired, add water gradually.
    4. Assemble the Bowl:
      Begin with a layer of brown rice or quinoa at the bottom of the bowl. Add a generous serving of mixed greens, followed by the grilled chicken or tofu, black beans, corn, avocado slices, red onion, and diced tomatoes.
    5. Drizzle and Garnish:
      Drizzle the spicy dressing over the assembled bowl and garnish with fresh cilantro leaves. Serve immediately for a delightful and hearty meal.
